It’s the ‘90s. Denim is everywhere. From denim-on-denim looks to low-cut jeans, the indigo fabric is dominating the global scene. And it’s during the same decade, in 1996, that 3D denim constructions made an appearance in fashion. Enter the G-STAR Elwood.
Inspired by motorcycle pants, former head designer Pierre Morisset based the G-STAR Elwood design on the human body and its anatomy to create our signature 3D shape. Distinctive features such as the knee pads, heel guards, and saddle patch made the style instantly recognizable. In no time, the G-STAR Elwood turned into one of the most popular jeans in history.
