Collaborations

Lights. Camera. Action.

Fashion and photography — two worlds so intrinsically connected one would not be able to exists without the other. This summer, as part of our ongoing crossovers, we've teamed up with Leica, Germany's leading camera company. Presenting a special edition of the Leica D-Lux 6 series, we celebrate our shared commitment to innovation.

A Natural Collaboration

Since its debut in 1925, Leica has been a cult favorite among street photographers. Its outstanding quality and high functionality, like the format and compact lens, have made spontaneous and easier pictures a reality, revolutionizing photography.

Bridging the natural link between photography and fashion, we join forces with Leica to continuously push the boundaries of innovation. Sharing similar aesthetics, this collaboration comes as a natural crossover, where form follows function. Our cutting-edge denim designs and Leica's pioneering photography technology resulted in the RAW Camera, framing the essence of both worlds.

Reimagined Horizons

Wrapped in a full-grain brown leather case, the Leica D-Lux 6 Edition by G-Star RAW comes in a sleek grey colorway. It features a new dotted structure on the body trim, giving it an effective grip, with a carrying and hand strap. Included assets are fast f/1.4-2.3 Summilux lens and 1.7″ CMOS image sensor, along with all its full-HD video capabilities. Same trusted technology. In a new look.

Legendary Dutch photographer and longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn has received the first model as a RAW Leica ambassador. "With the RAW Leica, I think it's very nice that you get that analogue world while you shoot digital," Corbijn explains. "It feels like you’re really creating something."

Redefining the creative possibilities, the RAW Leica blends style and functionality. It dives in uncharted territories. A testament to our mutual vision of craftsmanship and innovation.
