Meet Sabelo Shabalala: Sabelo began his journey into fashion straight after high school. The Durban-based textiles graduate has a broad experience in alteration and garment construction. He has gained various achievements after working in the fashion industry for multiple years. "I use old denim products to create new ones. In my opinion no other fabric ages as well as denim."
Meet Dennis Collins: Dennis seeks to invent and renew products that are well crafted and of the highest quality. The self-taught tailor, pattern maker and designer is deeply rooted in the skateboarding community of South Africa where he serves as a tailor to the local skaters of Cape Town. "I work on reviving and extending the life of denim by hemming, altering and repairing friends’ and clients’ existing (often thrifted) garments."
Meet Samkelo Boyde Xaba: Samkelo is a multidisciplinary creative from Johannesburg. He started tailoring during his first year at university and prioritizes sustainability. His aim is to achieve an ecological balance by extending the lifetime of products through tailoring alongside working with durable fabrics. "Why I love working with denim? It's a staple piece that’s durable, timeless and sustainable."
